Hampstead Cable Begins Planning for Summer Concerts

HAMPSTEAD – The Cable Board reviewed the success of its 2013 Summer Concert Series and the recent Don Campbell Winter Concert, and began planning for the summer of 2014.
At its recent meeting, the committee members decided to plan on having eight concerts. Members have begun contacting musicians.
The recent Don Campbell Winter Concert was well attended and considered a big success. Campbell has already said he can repeat the concert next year.

Admission to his concert was a food donation for St. Anne’s Ecumenical Food Pantry or items or cash to support the Hampstead Middle School Military Support Club with their packages for deployed military men and women.
Two large bins were filled to the brim and were taken to St. Anne’s, with enough items and financial donations for the Military Support Club to fund at least two packages. Many of the attendees took time to write notes to military personnel to be included in the packages.
Cable Board member and Station Manager Bianca Nicolosi said the concert is currently airing on Channel 17.
In other business, the board discussed updating the Cable Board’s Web site, www.meetinghousepark.org. The updated Web site will feature links to social media and vimeo accounts and will provide concert information. Nicolosi said she hopes to have the Web site running early in the New Year.
The board learned that Ted Kostandin is interested in becoming a member. Kostandin has been assisting member Tom Shallow with the Hampstead Congregational Church service cable productions and filled in for Shallow for the Interfaith Concert held at the church.
Kostandin attended the Cable meeting and the board will send its recommendation for his appointment to the Board of Selectmen.
