Stun Gun Confiscated at Manchester Airport

According to Ann Davis of the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA), a female traveler was stopped by TSA officers at the Manchester Boston Regional Airport on Sunday afternoon, June 30, after, a TSA officer manning the X-ray checkpoint spotted a stun gun in the woman’s carry on bag.
Londonderry Police were notified and the stun gun was confiscated.
Davis said there was no disruption to airport operations and the woman, who had a ticket to fly to Baltimore, was allowed to catch her flight.
“As a reminder weapons, including stun guns, are not permitted in carry on luggage. Passengers are responsible for the contents of their bags that they bring to the security checkpoint, and the TSA’s advice to passengers is to look through bags thoroughly before coming to the airport,” Davis said.
According to Davis, passengers can review the prohibited items list on the TSA homepage or they can download a free MyTSA Application from the TSA homepage at www.tsa.gov.
