Sleep Inn Robbed at Gunpoint

Londonderry Police say the Sleep Inn motel at 72 Perkins Road was robbed at gunpoint at approximately 4:17 a.m. Wednesday, July 3. The motel is near Exit 5 of Interstate 93.

Londonderry Police Lieutenant Ryan J. Kearney said police responded to the motel after receiving a report that the night manager had been robbed at gunpoint.

“The crime is being actively investigated and we are aware that a similar crime had taken place in Goffstown on June 27,” Kearney said.

Kearney said that upon arrival at the motel, officers were told the suspect was described as a Black or Hispanic male approximately 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 8 inches in height and weighing approximately 170 to 190 pounds.

“The suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and white sneakers with a black plastic mask covering the lower portion of his face. He was also carrying a North Face type black backpack,” Kearney said.

Kearney said that the weapon used during the robbery was described as a silver semiautomatic pistol.
An undisclosed amount of cash was taken as well as a C.H.A.D. (Children’s Hospital At Dartmouth) donation container. Police said they were told the suspect fled in an unknown vehicle.
Kearney asks that anyone with information about this crime contact Detective Scott Balukonis at 432-1118.
