Nevada Resident Arrested in Town For Sex Crimes

Jolin Daigneault, 30, of Las Vegas, Nev., was arrested by Londonderry police for Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault and Forcible Rape. The arrest was made Monday, Aug. 26.
According to an arrest affidavit by Detective Donald A. Laduke of the Londonderry Police Department, Officer Jason Archambault was summoned on July 8, 2013 to Parkland Medical Center in Derry to investigate a possible aggravated felonious sexual assault that allegedly took place sometime after 1 a.m. Saturday, July 6.

The affidavit states the alleged victim, while at the Emergency Department, told Archambault that Jolin Daigneault, who was known to her “from years earlier,” had approached her at a nightclub in Manchester around 1 a.m. and had convinced her to let him give her a ride home.

The affidavit states that Daigneault is in the military and was driving a rental car.
Laduke’s affidavit states the woman claimed to be highly intoxicated and said Daigneault didn’t take her home right away but instead drove her to a New Hampshire Department of Transportation (DOT) patrol shed.

She said she did not remember the ride to the shed because she thinks she was unconscious at the time. She said she was not conscious during the rape and did not give her consent to the sexual activity. She said that when she regained consciousness, she was in pain and bleeding.

The affidavit states the woman said that when they left the scene, they took a left onto the road and stopped at a gas station nearby that had a blue sign and a “horse.” The affidavit states they cleaned the seats of the rental car with Wet Wipes and a paper towel at the gas station.

The affidavit states the Mobil station at the junction of Rockingham and Mammoth roads has a blue canopy over the pumps and a Pegasus logo on the pumps, and is within a quarter of a mile of the scene of the alleged attack.

“On July 10, Detective Scott Balukonis and myself went to Jolin Daigneault’s former address in Manchester but could not locate Daigneault,” Laduke stated in the affidavit. “We also went to the nearest car rental business, Enterprise Rent a Car, 556 Wentworth St., Manchester. The branch manager told me that Jolin Daigneault had rented a gray Dodge Charger on July 1 and returned it July 7.”

Laduke was granted a search warrant and on July 12 seized the vehicle and brought it to the Londonderry police impound garage. He said he found stains on the front and rear passenger seats and that by using a blood visualing agent, determined they were blood stains. Laduke stated he found a package of Wet Ones Anti Bacterial Wipes in the car.

On July 22, the woman went to the police station with the clothing she was wearing that night and paper towels and wipes that had not been thrown away. In a follow-up interview with police, the woman drew a map of the shed and building and the colors of the DOT patrol shed. Laduke said they are identical to the shed on Mammoth Road.

Following his arrest, Daigneault was held on $10,000 cash bail. At his arraignment in Derry District Court, he was released on $25,000 personal recognizance bail, with a probable cause hearing scheduled for Oct. 7 at Derry District Court.
