A representative from ServiceLink of Rockingham County will present a New to Medicare Workshop at the Hampstead Public Library on Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 1:30 p.m. Workshop topics include: understanding the basics of Medicare, prescription drug coverage, Medicare supplements, and preventing fraud. The Chester Public Library’s Cook and Share group meets Wednesday, Jan. 28, at 6:30 p.m. in the library’s Meeting Room. This program is a book group and potluck dinner. The cookbook for this month is “Molto Gusto: Easy Italian Cooking at Home” by Mario Batali. Copies of the cookbook are available at the library for participants to borrow. Each person will choose a recipe from the cookbook and produce a finished product so that everyone may taste a sample.
The Derry Parks & Recreation Department and Parkland Medical Center continue their collaboration by hosting a free community outreach lecture series on health and wellness topics for persons age 55 and above. The next Healthy Aging Lecture will take place Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 12:30 p.m. at Marion Gerrish Community Center, 39 West Broadway and will cover how to navigate Medicare.
